オランダ街道の起源

平成12年4月20日に開催された「日蘭交流400周年記念式典」において、平戸市から佐世保市・西海市（旧西彼町）を経て、長崎市をつなぐルートが「オランダ街道」と命名されました。
このオランダ街道を旗印に、広域観光ルートとしての沿道整備、修景拠点整備などを実施するとともに、広域的な市町村連携、行政と民間のパートナーシップのもとに、オランダ街道を活かしたまちづくりに取り組んでいます。　HP「オランダ街道」より

The beginning of the "Holland Road"

From Hirado -the Dutch Trading Post in Japan- to Nagasaki Deshima -the place where the Dutch have been trading for more than 200 years.
The route between those two places, which both maintain longlasting historical ties with the Netherlands, has been named the "Holland Road" in the framework of the commemoration of 400 years of bilateral relations between Japan and the Netherlands.
The road opens a new chapter in the common history of the two countries.
